It has become clear to me these first days of the new year, this is my mantra for 2020. Turn The Page. I have wailed this song countless times. Cried while hanging on every word. This song speaks to my soul now and always. Little did I know my Dad was actually living it word for word around the world from me. Take a listen if you haven't in a while. Best song ever! Turn the page also represents where I am in my life. Everyday is like a fresh new page. What are we going to put on that page is the question. I have a lot to process. This life has thrown me some major curveballs. I am finding, that in the life of a writer, you have to be alone and focused to get one word on the page. God has assured me that this alone place is necessary. Alone place, not lonely.
Connecting the dots of a life can only be done backwards. So here I am. I always saw it as a puzzle myself. Put together piece by piece. Those pieces came in all shapes and sizes and colors. And the detail work? Well, let me tell you that God is in the details. One of my favorite attributes of God is His ability to work in the details. Take that sunset over the ocean for instance. You can hardly take in the beauty. Colors so vivid you didn't even know they existed. All for your eyes my friend.
"God loves each of us as if there were only one of us."-Saint Augustine
I choose to have the gumption and courage it takes to tell my miraculous story, to face those demons and lies for exactly what they are. Find my hiding place in the pages before me. To gain encouragement from those who choose to be in my corner.
May my vision be 2020 this year. Keep my Focus and Perseverance going full speed ahead. My two words for the year, by the way. I feel 2020 deserves two words. It's going to be a big year! I wish the best to all of you. Stay tuned, get your friends to subscribe and Turn The Page!!
